On May 25 through 30, on the ground of the National Complex "Expocenter of Ukraine", the Autoexpo Company will be holding the grandest event in Ukraine, the 12th International SIA'2004 Motor Show.

Literally, SIA is the event number 1 for the automotive world of our country. At the same time, the Motor Show has an honorary international status inasmuch as SIA is repeatedly listed in the ОІСА (the World Organization of Motor Vehicles Manufacturers) official calendar of the major motor shows worldwide. Visit of the OICA Secretary General Mr. Yves van der Straaten to Kyiv is another evidence of this high international status.

The real scope of the event also makes it authoritative. SIA of this year is a true automobile town occupying the whole ground of the biggest exhibition center of Ukraine with 11 pavilions and practically all applicable outdoor sites.

Along with the extension of the display gross area, the number of purely automotive pavilions increased as well. Recent models of the best automobile brands are exposed in 7 pavilions exceeding the last year's figure. The renowned brands such as BMW, Volkswagen and VAZ took a pavilion each for their exhibits.

In general, the automotive display of SIA will consist of the following prominent BMW, CADILLAC, CHEVROLET, CITROEN, HYUNDAI, KIA, MAZDA, MITSUBISHI, NISSAN, PEUGEOT, RENAULT, SAMSUNG, SEAT, SKODA, SSANG YONG, SUBARU, SUZUKI, TOYOTA, VOLKSWAGEN, VAZ, GAZ, IZH car brands, IVECO, MAN, RENAULT, SCANIA, AutoKRAZ, KAMAZ, MAZ-MAN, URAL freight vehicles, MAN, NEOMAN, OTOKAR, SCANIA, VAZ, BOGHDAN, LAZ, PAZ and other buses.

The national displays of Poland and Turkey will be big enough too. The real power of small-lot production in these countries is known almost all over the world and, therefore, such an activity of our neighbouring countries at the Motor Show is not accidental because, first of all, it concerns the production of auto spare parts.

Besides, SIA organized the immense as to its dimension and amount of exhibitors display of garage services. At the metropolitan Motor Show, all companies without exception engaged in garage services in Ukraine show their abilities. The comers will be able to see all kinds of garage services and any commodity group.

This year, SIA, as usually, will be rich in brand new cars, unbelievably interesting test-drives, automotive premiers, car tests and competitions, pop shows and other measures. The line of concept-cars from key manufacturers is expected.

By the way, the two new exhibits such as AutoExclusive and Ukraine Boat Expo as well as dedicated Bike Show should be considered to be one of the most notable zests of this year's Motor Show.

As to its intention, AutoExclusive is a unique event, having no analogues in our country. It is the first trade fair, the essence of which lies in combination of classics and up-to-dateness, traditions and vanguard, engineering and art. The AutoExclusive display will gather ancient, collection, classical and exotic vehicles and the best models of autotuning.

Since SIA's inception, the exhibit of motor masterpieces was always its part and parcel just as a sufficient amount of tuning cars displayed by different participating companies. But before, the exclusive cars were dispersed all over the exhibition ground. This year, however, the organizers, in the first place, decided to gather and show these automobiles together, and in the second place, to make this display abundant and meaningful in respect of depicting achievements, know-how and potential of this sector.

Also, Ukraine Boat Expo will first take the part of independent fair to demonstrate yachts, launchers, boats, aquabikes and other watercrafts intended for water amusements. There will be much more scale, abundance and sight in this display than before.

The third premier is a Bike Show Trade Fair dedicated to bicycles and motorbikes as well as to various vehicles on their base. The idea to develop this trend within the Motor Show was born on the wave of the present mass infatuation for bicycles, motorbikes and their growing significance in the development of active recreation in Ukraine. The organizers are confident that this sector of the Motor Show will have visitors and acquire accelerated development.

In particular, the Boat Expo Fair will grow because there is no better place for such a display than SIA.

Since the Motor Show gathers annually almost half a million visitors, the organizers decided to make the open hours of the present Motor Show longer. The first three days on May 25-27, the Motor Show will be open until 19.00. The last three days on May 28-30, the Motor Show will be receiving the visitors until 20.00.

There is another pleasant surprise for visitors: "Buy a Lucky Entry Ticket and Be the Owner of a Brand New Car" action will be put in at the 12th Kyiv International SIA'2004 Motor Show. Thus, someone of the visitors to SIA will have a chance to turn the process of seeing the best world automobiles into being the car owner. This year, those lucky ones will sit at the wheel of either Hyundai Sonata, the main prize of the Motor Show, or VAZ-2107 from AIS Corporation.
