Intercar Ukraine is Ukraine's general exporter for Volkswagen, the managers of which organized a press conference.

Sergiy Savitsky, Director General of Intercar Ukraine, informed that the company took part in SIA for the ninth time. Display of the company was allocated in the individual expo-block on the area of 900 sq. m. On the day of the Motor Show opening, the Counselor of the German Embassy in Ukraine Klaus Zillikens and the Volkswagen delegation represented by regional commercial vehicle sales chief in Eastern Europe Karsten Fiedler and regional curator in charge of the dealership development and after-sale maintenance Alexander Zattelmeier came to see the display. And this fact proved the growing interest of the leading motor vehicle manufacturers to SIA especially as the managers of Volkswagen decided to occupy 1000 sq. m. next year. That is to say according to Sergiy Savitsky, the exhibit of the leading German motor vehicle manufacturer at the SIA Motor Show will not yield to its display set up at the world famous international motor shows in Frankfurt and Paris.

The figures Sergiy Savitsky quoted evidence: the Volkswagen automobiles occupy the third place as to the scope of their sale in our country probably because the forestalling Skoda and DAEWOO are assembled in Ukraine, whereas Volkswagen imported. However, the German concern is an absolute commercial vehicle sales leader. Not in the least, Volkswagen owes such a high volume of sales to its authorized Importer Intercar Ukraine, who constantly extends its dealer network and plans to develop the latter throughout Ukraine.

The LAZ Ukraine Trade House held a press conference to make the comers familiarized with the sales plans of the company for 2003 and its achievements. The Lviv Bus Works is a longstanding participant of the SIA Motor Show. This year, the company displayed its new bus models such as Liner-10 L deluxe, Liner-12 T coach, and School Bus on the base of Liner-9 as well as a big city bus LAZ-52528 completed by means of the Kyiv plant Relle E Automatica with a new electronic dashboard.

The School Bus is equipped with a special system enabling the bus to make an 80 cm "curtsey" to facilitate the boarding of small passengers. The bus features KNOR-BREMSE ABS.

In addition to traditional outfit, Liner-10 is equipped with Blaupunkt audio and LCD video systems, Webasto air conditioner as well as with individual lighting units and air spreader.

Besides the length and utility of the body, Liner-12 is remarkable for big luggage cupboard of 5.5 cubic meters. All Liners displayed at the Motor Show have Deutz BF 6M1013 EC engines in accordance with Euro-2 that enables to run them in EU countries.

After the reorganization of production at the beginning of 2003, the Lviv Bus Works obtained the International ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certificate as well as UkrSEPRO Quality Certificate issued by the State Committee of Ukraine for Standardization, Metrology and Certification.

Robert Bosch is notable for high-quality and up-to-date household appliances, electric instruments and industrial equipment. However, 70% of the company turnover make up the delivery of motor spare parts for conveyors and their sale through retail trade.

Among the novelties, Robert Bosch displayed at the Motor Show the windscreen wipers. In contrast to regular wipers having a complicated construction and composed of many parts, Aerotwin wipers are free of knuckle joints; the wiper rubber is evenly clamping along the whole length of the built-in blade that secures a regular cleaning effect throughout the screen surface.

In the history of the world motor vehicle manufacture, Formula 1 is a fusion of state-of-the-art technologies, most advanced achievements resulted from engineering ideas, and exhausting training of racers. Today, there is a homemade Formula 1 in the Ukrainian market - a modern trading network offering complete services to both the ordinary motor enthusiasts and the wholesalers.
