The second year in a row, the display of Intercar Ukraine, an authorized dealer of the world renowned Volkswagen, is one of the biggest at the Motor Show. At the press conference, Director General of the company S. Savytsky told about the present development of the company and of the hope the Ukrainian customers could cherish among the company and themselves.

According to S. Savytsky, our automotive market has been very dynamic lately: over 1,500 new VW cars were registered in Ukraine during the respective period. Next year promises to be even more interesting, first of all, thanks to attachment of new import dues. In spite of that, Intercar Ukraine is optimistic, first of all, due to the fact that VW models will be produced in Ukraine at the Eurocar manufacturing facilities.

The development of dealer network is one of the main factors building up the company's success. Today, the 15 dealer centers in 11 regions of Ukraine operate. Along with authorized partners, the Intercar distribution network covers 88% of the administrative territory of Ukraine.

This year, Intercar Ukraine celebrates its tenth jubilee participation in the Motor Show and occupies 900 sq. m of indoor area in a separate expo-block plus adjacent outdoor ground. The company exhibits practically the entire VW model line available in Ukraine, including Polo, New Beetle, Golf V, Golf Variant, Bora and other cars; Caddy Combi, Caddy Kasten, Transporter T5, Shuttle T5 and Multivan T5 commercial vehicles; and luxury Phaeton Long, Toureg V6 and V8.

NIKO, an authorized importer of MITSUBISHI Motors in Ukraine, presented three novelties to the visitors of SIA. At the yesterday's press conference, Vice-president of NIKO R. Kuzmin and NIKO's Advertising Manager M. Zhyglinsky told about their display.

For some years in a row, MITSUBISHI has been holding the leadership in Ukraine in regard to sales volume of imported cars. This breakthrough was provided by very balanced model line imported to Ukraine.

This year, NIKO brought at once three brand-new vehicles: Lancer Evolution VIII sports car, MITSUBISHI Grandis minivan, and, finally, MITSUBISHI COLT concept-car.

By the way, the attachment of new import dues will not affect the price policy of the company until September. Beginning from fall, the prices of their cars will rise by only 7% as the Vice-president of NIKO assured. Keeping the buyers loyal is NIKO's philosophy.

RusAutoProm Holding is one of the biggest motor vehicle manufacturers in Russia. The Russian Bus is an integral part of the Holding that incorporates the leading automakers such as PAZ, LiAZ, GolAZ, KAVZ and KAAZ. The company has been presenting its products in Ukraine for some years. Yesterday, it held a press conference.

The Holding produces annually almost 14 thousand buses of all grades. Last year, the sales volume of the company reached 14,768 units to the total tune of $333 mln. This year, the company has a good chance to exceed these figures relying upon the coverage of 79% Russian market and 17% export to all countries of the CIS and further abroad.

In comparison with the previous period, the export of Russian buses almost doubled, and the figures of this year give hope to subsequent 14% growth. There is no surprise because Ukraine is the biggest importer of RusAutoProm production. Its export part amounts to 46.6%.

Those, who visited or would visit the booth of the Lviv Bus Works, will make sure that the heading is correct. Yesterday, the exhibitor officially presented two brand-new models: NeoLaz CityStar A-183 big city bus and its modifications NeoLaz AX 183 Sky Bus designed for airport services.

CityStar is modern bus designed for big cities. Features: three doors, smooth slope instead of steps to facilitate the boarding of invalids and old people. The designers collected all the best used by Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania. Furthermore, the bus is consolidated with imported components: ZF suspension and DEUTZ engines in conformity to Euro-2 and Euro-3.

The bus can take up to 100 passengers and at the same time leaving the way out accessible.

NeoLaz CityStar A-183 will be exported to both the CIS and Europe for the bus has a better performance than the Belarussian MAZ.

As for NeoLaz AX 183 Sky Bus, then this vehicle can arouse the interest of big European airports. There are doors on both sides making the leaving/boarding of passengers convenient. The electronic speed-limiting device contributes to reduced fuel consumption (18.3 l/100 km) and passenger safety.

Those are not all news from LAZ. On May 22, the company launched a serial production of one-and-a-half-storey bus of extended utility NeoLaz LAZ 5208, having no analogues in Ukraine.

According to LAZ's Chairman of the Managing Board Youri Sorokin, the company puts out 185 buses during 4 months of this year, and it looks like the company is not going to cut the production rate.

Yesterday, there was an UAZ Day. The company presented some novelties: Hunter Simbir off-road and UAZ-32360 truck. These vehicles will be available in Ukraine next month in AIS trading network.

As the Marketing & Sales Director of UAZ, Inc. Andriy Dorofeyev told at the press conference, it took only half a year to launch the production of all three models. "Such a development rate is new for Russian market", - he emphasized. All new UAZ models will be built on a single platform, which will enable the company to create economic, dynamic, reliable and comfortable jeeps. The company uses imported completing parts from the world leading manufacturers providing reliability and sometimes price-cutting.

According to UAZ's Chairman of the Managing Board Vasyl Poliakov, the company plans to produce up to 4,000 off-roads. These plans have a solid ground: widespread trading and service network and popularity of the brand among the customers.

Hunter, for example, fully substituted its forerunners of UAZ-3151 series. Though Hunter's appearance resembles its "fathers", its body is strongly upgraded. There are new comfortable seats inside and improved soundproofing.

UAZ Simbir is designed for admirers of comfortable jeeps. At the same and for the first time in UAZ's history, the vehicle was presented as "standard" as well as "comfort" with corresponding equipment.
