This slogan was announced at the opening of the 12th International SIA'2004 Motor Show to characterize exhaustively the goal of this year's Motor Show.
It is not accidental that the show is considered to be one of the grandest events in Ukraine as well as in the whole Eastern Europe. According to Director General of AUTOEXPO Nina Dyatlova, the present Motor Show is unprecedented for our nation. For the first time in the 12-year history of its staging, the number of participants has approached to 700 companies, and the display area has reached 55 thousand sq. m. No wonder that high-rank guests from Ukraine and far beyond its limits honoured its opening with their attendance. In particular, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee in Charge of Construction, Transport, Housing & Communal Services and Communications V. Pustovoitenko; Head of the Parliamentary Budgetary Committee P. Poroshenko; Head of the State Tourist Administration, President of the Automobile Federation of Ukraine V. Tsybukh; Deputy Chiefs of the State Presidential Administrative Department of Ukraine G. Smitiuk and I. Savchenko; Deputy Chief of the Kyiv City State Administration, Chief of the Transport Committee under the Kyiv City State Administration, Chief of the Central Department for Industry, Transport and Communication V. Kyr'yan; First Deputy Minister of Transport of Ukraine I. Saliy; First Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy of Ukraine M. Ivaschenko; Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy of Ukraine V. Zubarev; and many other V.I.P. took part in the solemn opening ceremony.
To confirm the said above, Head of the Parliamentary Budgetary Committee P. Poroshenko stated that the annual demand for automobiles in Ukraine grew by 50-70%. He is confident, that the only perspective way of further development of the branch lies in improving of domestic production and in searching for new markets. Not without reason, the International SIA'2004 Motor Show is repeatedly listed in the official catalogue of the World Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA). Every attendee of the press conference dedicated to the opening of the Motor Show was convinced of that. The AUTOEXPO Director General Nina Dyatlova; Director General of All-Ukrainian Association of Automobile Importers and Dealers O. Nazarenko as well as executives of Ukraine's leading automotive companies took part in the press conference.
Director General of AWT Bavaria O. Timofeyev wished the Motor Show to develop and informed about novelties displayed at the current SIA. The seventh armoured BMW series was the most interesting exhibit. Furthermore, the sixth BMW series of this year was represented with coupe and cabriolet as well as with X3. However, a striking custom-tailored INDIVIDUAL series aroused the greatest interest. NISSAN has been operating in the Ukrainian market since 1992. In view of Nissan Trading Europe Ltd. Head O. Krushelnytsky, the Ukrainian automotive market today is on the rise. Therefore, it would be a pity to miss a chance for exhibiting. SIA'2004 Justifies the International Recognition
Yesterday, the OICA Secretary General Mr. Yves van der Straaten came from Paris to visit the Motor Show.

As for Project 2170, it will be built on the base of the tenth series. It is a new model as to design, utility, driving performance and appearance. The hood, front and back wings, bumpers and other details have assumed another shape. The interior meets up-to-date ergonomic requirements. Having overcome some economic problems, the company makes profit again. Thus, during the first three months of this year, AUTOVAZ, Inc. has manufactured 173 thousand cars, having exceeded the respective period of the last year by 27.1%. This year, AUTOVAZ, Inc. plans to export to Ukraine 40 to 45 thousand Lada cars, the half of which is prefabricated.
